If you know me, you know I love anything with a good story attached to it. We ran into Mary Landrum when we were walking out of Gibbes last night. Josh introduced us and I nearly accosted her trying on her fantastic hat. Who knew less than 24 hours later, I would be one of her first customers. This little lady is the real deal. She is not only a custom hat maker, the chick uses feathers from turkeys that SHE shot, snake skin from snakes SHE killed, and HAND beads her hat bands! She is just getting started so we cannot wait to see what's around the corner for Mary Landrum and ML Provisions!

Christmas came early! My mom surprised all of us with a trip to ML Provisions, and we had THE BEST TIME! It's more than just a hat – the whole thing is an incredible experience.

We arrived at her beautiful barn surrounded by horses and wildflowers. At that point, we still had no clue where we were going. Mom really kept a good secret! Watching Mary Landrum create a hat from scratch was fascinating! After the hats were fitted to our heads, we were able to customize it several different ways – from the branding of our hats with things special to us (I got the state of Texas, where I spent the first 12 years of my life and where my whole family is from, the state of Mississippi, and the letters W & H for Willow & Henry) and picking out the bands, feathers, charms and more!

Mary Landrum and her sister Elizabeth were the best hosts ever and I wanted to stay and hang out with them all day. These women stay busy! If you want to get an appointment, book now! Her schedule fills up super fast as this is truly one of the coolest things I've done in a long time.
